⚙️ Forge & Flow Studio – FAQ Page
❓ What kind of projects do you take on?
Have you ever had an idea but weren’t sure if it was “big enough” for a studio to take seriously? A lot of our clients feel that way at first. The truth is, we work on everything from quick prototypes and replacement parts to full-scale product launches, art pieces, and event builds. Whether you’re in Hawai‘i or remote, we scale our process to fit your project.
❓ How much does it cost to get something made?
Most people worry about cost because they don’t know what goes into 3D printing or CAD design. That uncertainty can keep projects from ever starting. That’s why we built our tiered packages — from a $50 Spark prototype up to full $2000+ custom build. You’ll know exactly where you stand, and if your project doesn’t fit neatly into a tier, we’ll create a custom quote just for you.
❓ How long will my project take?
Have you ever been excited to see your idea but frustrated by long wait times? We get it. Simple prototypes can be ready in as little as 1–2 weeks, while larger builds may take 4–8 weeks depending on complexity. We’ll always give you a clear timeline up front so you’re never left guessing.
❓ Do you only work with clients in Hawai‘i?
Nope! While our studio is based in Kona, Hawai‘i, we work with clients everywhere. Local clients often drop by with sketches or parts, while remote clients send files or photos. Either way, we’ll guide you through the same step-by-step process and ship your finished project right to your door.
❓ What materials can you work with?
One of the biggest roadblocks people hit is not knowing what material to choose. That decision can make or break your project’s success. We offer PLA and PETG for everyday prints, resins for high-detail work, and even wood or acrylic for laser-cut projects. If you’re unsure, we’ll help you pick the right material for strength, look, and budget.
❓ Can you help me with design if I don’t have a file?
Absolutely. Many of our clients start with nothing more than a sketch on paper. Without design support, it’s easy for ideas to stay stuck there. That’s where we come in. With CAD design, we’ll turn your concept into a printable model, so you can move forward with confidence.
❓ What if I’m not sure which package fits my project?
That’s normal — most projects don’t fit perfectly into a box. That’s why our quote form is built to help us guide you. Share what you have (a sketch, an idea, or just a description), and we’ll walk you through which package or custom plan makes the most sense for your needs and budget.
❓ Do you ship finished projects?
Yes. A lot of clients outside Hawai‘i ask this. We carefully package and ship your finished pieces worldwide. If you’re local to Kona, we also offer pickup options so you can see the work in person when it’s done.
❓ What makes Forge & Flow Studio different?
Most print shops stop at “upload your file, get a print.” We’re not just a service — we’re your creative partner. We combine technical precision with artistic design, helping you go from idea → CAD → prototype → finished product. And because we’re based in Hawai‘i, much of our work is inspired by the islands — unique, bold, and built to stand out.
